The Writer’s Block 2.0

Easy reading is damned hard writing.

About Me

My name is Travis Grant Weber.  This began in 1998 while I lived in Unity, Saskatchewan.  Times were far from great and at night I’d lay in my room and scribble away in a little black day planner.  I wasn’t planning my days, but rather filling the tiny organizer with all manner of rambling, much of it unintelligible.  Over the course of months I grew out of the habit, although I’ve still got the tiny journal tucked away in a shoebox.

In early 2005, after obtaining a diploma in Computer Information Systems (CIS) from the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Sciences and Technologies (SIAST), I constructed a marginally illegal computer system that I used to share files, music, and videos.  Frequently, I’d be forced to send e-mail messages advising users of the systems status (broken or working).

By the end of 2005, those e-mail updates had very little to do with that computer system and more to do with anything else.  They’d also garnered the title of The Chronicles.  In 2005 I also began looking for a publisher who’d be willing to peddle a set of short stories I called, Bunitzki.  They were terrible, I received no takers.

In 2006 I changed the platform of my delivery from the e-mail distribution list to a Blog that I hosted at Blogger.  I also joined the Kindersley Pearls of the Prairies writing group and began performing my writing in front of the community.  If nothing else, I got a few laughs.  In this year I began writing my first novel titled The Chronicles with intentions of self-publishing it through Trafford.

In 2007, I am still working on that first novel.  I frequently update my blog while writing character sketches, speeches, short stories, and book reviews.  I even have a stand-up act that I’ve never performed.  You can select and read these by using the ”Categories” links on the main page.  I have also migrated my online site to Word Press (you are here).  They provide some functionality that, I feel, will allow you to enjoy my writing at an organizational level…if nothing else.

Stay awhile….smile a little.

Always sincerely,

T.G.WEBER

  1. When I met you in 2005, I recognised immediately one heck of a man. For some twist of fate your name came up tonight, but after googling your name you are more than what my girlfriend can handle. I’m impressed and amazed – good for you Travis and all the best with finding your perfect “small white female” – you deserve it!
